How to Rewrite & Dub a Video
「Rewrite & Dub」 and 「Video Translation」 are two different capabilities. 「Video Translation」 focuses on translating content into the target language and generating subtitles/dubbing, while 「Rewrite & Dub」 lets you rewrite the lines and have the character speak the updated content without changing the original audio or using a cloned voice. It also supports adding or cloning voices you like.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to:
Create a 「Rewrite & Dub」 project
Rewrite subtitle content
Create a Project
Go to the Projects page and click 「Rewrite & Dub」.
Click 「Click to upload」 to select a local video (you can also drag and drop the video into the upload area), or click 「YouTube Link」 to paste the video URL.
Select the video language, then click 「Submit」 to start uploading.
Rewrite Subtitle Content
After the upload finishes, you’ll enter the editor where you can preview and edit subtitle content.
Click 「Dubbing」 on the left to open the dubbing content dashboard, then rewrite the lines in the 「Enter script content」 text box. After editing, remember to click 「Update」 to sync the content.
Dubbing content dashboard: determines what the character “speaks” (audio lines).
Subtitle content dashboard: determines what appears on screen as subtitles.
After you edit dubbing content, subtitles will sync automatically; if you don’t want them to sync, edit the subtitle content dashboard separately
When you’re done editing, click 「Export」 in the top-right corner, choose the resolution and format, and export your video.
