Payment Failure Troubleshooting

Don’t worry—this is very common. Payment failures usually come down to just two causes: your bank declined the transaction, or Stripe blocked it due to security verification / risk checks.

How to Fix It (Check in This Order)

1) 30-Second Quick Check (Most Common & Most Effective)

  • Double-check your card details: card number / expiration date / CVC / billing address / ZIP code

  • Try a different browser or device (to avoid verification pop-ups being blocked)

  • Try again later—or switch to a different card or payment method

2) Bank (Card Issuer) Limits or Declines

Possible reasons:

  • Insufficient balance or available credit

  • Exceeded per-transaction / daily limits, or frequency limits

  • Card frozen, risk-controlled, or account status issues

  • Card doesn’t support online, cross-border, or subscription payments

How to fix it:

Contact your card issuer to confirm whether this online payment was blocked, and ask them to approve it. This is especially helpful when you see messages like “transaction declined,” “unable to complete,” or a generic decline.

3) Stripe Security Verification or Risk Controls

Common situations:

  • 3D Secure / SCA verification required (SMS code or bank app approval)

  • The transaction is blocked by security policies (details may not be shown)

How to fix it:

  • Complete the verification prompts on the page, then submit again

  • Try a different card—or try again later
